I am an experienced Psychotherapist/Counsellor offering both short and longer term Psychotherapy/Counselling since 2001, working with a wide range of people including those who do not traditionally access talking therapies.
The majority of my practice has been in Adult Education, Domestic and Sexual Violence and the Charity sector. I work with a whole range of presenting issues, including: anxiety, depression, self-esteem, relationships, including those with your family or peers, abuse and trauma, including domestic or sexual abuse, sexual identity, cultural heritage/identity, bereavement and anything else that impacts your emotional health.
I believe we all have times in our lives when we struggle to feel happy and satisfied for a whole range of reasons and that with the right support we can find a way to overcome these.
I will work with you to help you understand and find your own answers to the problems facing you. I aim to be respectful, warm, welcoming and understanding as a therapist whilst providing supportive challenge when necessary.
I have a Post-Graduate Diploma in Integrative Counselling (2002) from London Metropolitan University, a Graduate Certificate in Group Analysis (2013) from the Institute for Group Analysis/Birkbeck and have been an Accredited and Registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) since 2005.
I understand that it can be very difficult to ask for counselling/therapy or to know who the right counsellor/psychotherapist is for you. Please feel free to contact me for an initial meeting to discuss what your needs are and to make sure you that get the right service/person for you.
Feel free to contact us to arrange an initial assessment appointment or to ask any questions you may have. You may also want to say a little about why you are seeking counselling/therapy.
In the assessment session, we will be able to further explore the issues you want to address and decide whether we are the right therapist for you.
Please be sure to make clear in your message which therapist you are contacting if you have a preference, or whether it is a general enquiry to both of us.
All contact is confidential to the practice.
