I have worked one-to-one with both adults and young people for over 20 years in a variety of settings. These include the education sector, private practice, mental health settings and within the LGBTQ+ and BAMER communities.
As such, I am confident in building lasting counselling relationships with a wide variety of people. I have a particular commitment to working with those traditionally less likely to access psychological therapies.
Issues I commonly work with include but are not limited to: relationship difficulties, self-esteem, bereavement, anxiety, childhood sexual abuse, sexuality, sexual orientation, cultural identity, substance misuse, self-harming behaviours, eating disorders.
I work both short and longer term. I offer a type of talking therapy that is client-centred, relational and interpretive, as appropriate.
Without offering instruction or advice, I work with you to find your own answers or ways forward. I trained in Integrative Counselling (2002) and also began training in Group Analysis (2013).
I am a MBACP Registered and Accredited Counsellor (2005). I also offer clinical supervision to student and newly-qualified counsellors.
Feel free to contact us to arrange an initial assessment appointment or to ask any questions you may have. You may also want to say a little about why you are seeking counselling/therapy.
In the assessment session, we will be able to further explore the issues you want to address and decide whether we are the right therapist for you.
Please be sure to make clear in your message which therapist you are contacting if you have a preference, or whether it is a general enquiry to both of us.
All contact is confidential to the practice.
